Kristin Fischer will join CNN as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. She covers all aspects of space, starting with NASA and Space Force, Space Force and commercial space companies, to the emergence of Space Tourism. Kristin is the daughter of two NASA Astronauts. Kristin has grown up working in space, and has covered Trump and Biden Administration space policies for FOX News as White House Correspondent. Through this time, she covered the 2020 presidential campaign, two impeachment trials and two attempts to prevent the corona virus pandemic, in addition to two distinct administrations' initiatives. The reporter also went on numerous journeys with the President and Vice President, including a top secret trip to Afghanistan together with the former president Donald Trump. Kristin was a local television reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., where she earned an Emmy Award for her work as a "one-man-band" reporter before joining CBS in 2015. Kristin's expertise as a camerawoman led her to found Field Mouse Films which specialized in making documentaries for corporate customers such as Uber Hotels & Resorts and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelors of Science in Journalism from Boston University. Kristin is married with a daughter, and her three-year-old in Washington, D.C.
